Can a company leave the competition behind?
Who else but MAN. With you as an experienced employee.
Office, MAN Truck & Bus in Munich
How I arrived at MAN
I studied industrial engineering in Aachen, German, and was able to gain practical experience while studying. I made the first contact with MAN during a trip to a company. After concluding my studies it was clear to me that I wanted to focus on industrial engineering. So a trainee programme at MAN in purchasing was simply the perfect way for me to get in.
What I currently do at MAN
After my trainee program I worked for two years as a purchaser in the Purchasing Department. The integration of MAN into the VW Group opened up new opportunities for me, and I was able to take over as assistant of the Commodity Manager. The Commodity Manager is the Head of the Purchasing Division. My tasks include preparing and creating decision papers for the management, controlling cooperation topics across all brands, and coordinating interface tasks.
What I am particularly proud of
That I can be part of Purchasing, which makes a significant contribution to the company success. And that I am involved in the implementation of the 2020 Strategy in my assistant function. This is all about making our purchasing department even fitter for the future.
Why I like working at MAN:
I find the environment I am working in here to be one of the most exciting at MAN. The new truck holding, the international focus and VW Group are only a few of the buzz words. I like fighting for our success in purchasing, and at the end of the year I am proud when I see what we have achieved.
